How our holistic, therapeutic products work! Meet Sarah P. Hancock

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but did you know it’s also Emotional Wellness Month?

Meet Sarah P. Hancock, MS, CRC.

Sarah was diagnosed with Schizoaffective Disorder-Rapid cycling Bipolar type with catonia. Though she was treatment compliant, the medication she was prescribed didn’t work, so her doctor prescribed Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT). When that didn’t work for her, Sarah’s doctors continued ECT in addition to 5 classes of psychiatric medications. Sarah quickly became neurotoxic to the medications – though her doctors did not recognize it at the time – because the treatment she was receiving was for the wrong diagnosis.

Seventeen years later and after undergoing 116 Electroconvulsive Therapy sessions,

Sarah had finally been correctly diagnosed with Fungal Hepatic Encephalopathy. From the misdiagnosis and previously undergoing ECT treatment, Sarah currently suffers from diffuse electrical injury on the vagal nerve, recurrent laryngeal nerve, all of her cranial nerves and also suffers respiratory dysfunction due to phrenic nerve malfunction. The diffuse electrical injury completely demyelinated her entire nervous system. The shock treatment charge Sarah underwent had absorbed and diffused through her brainstem to the rest of her body.

Several months ago, this amazing woman and I met at La Mesa Farmers Market in San Diego. We said hello to each other and she informed me she was seeking out natural body care products that contain Frankincense.

I offered her a couple jars of our Whipped Sugar and Salt Scrubs that contained organic Frankincense essential oil and she quickly looked passed what I suggested. I immediately knew she was looking for something else. Something to use right away.

So I handed her a sample of our Glow Cuticle Oil.

It contains a synergy blend of organic, certified pure therapeutic grade oils, including Frankincense and Rose essential oils. Once she applied the oil to her nails, she quickly raised her hands under her nose and took a big, deep breath in.

What I witnessed was shocking, astounding and absolutely took my breath away.

Sarah explains what happens when she uses these amazing holistic, natural oils in the video.

You see, even though our Glow Cuticle Oil is for, well, nourishing your cuticles, the oils we use in all our products speak loud and clear.

Using organic, therapeutic and pure oils on your skin offer not just wonderful aromatherapeutic benefits, but they also offer a plethora of holistic benefits for your entire body.

Sarah used our Glow Cuticle Oil to help calm her central nervous system – and it worked! – all because of the quality oils we use in our products and their holistic healing benefits.

Even though she was misdiagnosed for 17 years, Sarah is not against psychiatric work. In fact, she is an advocate for psych research and rehabilitation;

as well as increasing awareness about the importance of using natural, holistic products to improve quality of life.

As written in Sarah’s Bio, “Nothing worked until twelve years into her journey, she began finding and incorporating wellness tools in addition to and later outside of traditional medication and counseling. That exploratory process led her to a doctor who addresses symptoms of severe mental illness as having resulted from living with toxic encephalopathy. With his ongoing care, her psychiatric symptoms only occur when she deviate from the diet. “I am constantly gathering new ‘wellness tools’ for my toolbox”.”

When talking to Sarah about psychiatric work, she informs, ” As far as psychiatric treatment is concerned, I’m not against it IF they can do the safety trials required to establish dosing limits/dosing protocols and if there’s fully informed consent, routine comprehensive assessments for known risks and appropriate long-term follow-up”.

Thank you, Sarah, for sharing your story with us and the entire world. Bringing awareness to psych recovery, mental health and holistic healing can create a massive impact if we keep the conversation going. So let’s keep talking about it!
